Privacy notice

Your songwriting stays in your browser

The song editor reads imported files locally and saves your current draft and chosen chord shapes in this browser’s local storage. Progression ideas and band names are generated on your device. These tools do not upload your lyrics, send them to an AI service, or publish your songs.

Information stored on your device

Local storage holds your song draft, chords being transferred between tools, and recent generated band names to reduce repeats. This data persists until you clear this site’s browser data. Download a song backup before clearing it. A downloaded ChordPro file includes lyrics and chord symbols, but not custom fingering selections.

Hosting and fonts

Cloudflare delivers this website and may process technical request information, including IP addresses and browser information, to serve and protect it. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which receives technical information associated with those requests. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

Advertising and analytics

This version includes no advertising or analytics scripts. If advertising is introduced, this notice will be updated to explain the vendors, their use of cookies and other identifiers, and available privacy choices before those services are enabled.

Your choices

You can download your song, replace it with a new draft, or remove all locally stored data through your browser’s site-data settings. Local drafts are not an online account or cloud backup; we cannot recover a draft after it is deleted. If you contact us by email, avoid including private song lyrics unless needed for your question.

Changes

We will update this page when the tools or data practices change.
